I haven't left yet, have to decide by end of week. My wife is 50/50 on it. The money is hard to pass up. We could pay off our bills quickly ($67,000)

Just knowing that I could return with out losing anything (vac time ect) could make the decision easier

If your deciding factor is Vacation stay put.

At schneider today's policy may not be tomorrow's.

The money will not make up for lost time.

    Period.

    Drop the mic!!!

How much more money would you make there vs what you do now? I honestly don't know very many walmart drivers pulling that their first couple of years and Walmart has had a flood of drivers leaving, or gotten fired for the past several years. They never even used to advertise for drivers and now their begging just Like everyone else. They also make SNI look tame when it comes to being anal about safety. There's also a large 'back stabber' culture at alot of the DCS. I don't know about yours specifically, but the 3 we have in Utah, I heard drivers at each one talk about it. That's what kept me from applying

It's tough going to a new job knowing you can quit and go back to the old one, I personally think that when that situation arises you don't give 100 % to the new job because if a bump in the road happens you always have the old job in the back of your mind and you tend to jump ship a lot easier.....IMHO. That's a lot of time and effort to go through getting on at WM to possibly just leave it all on the table to go back someplace where you are already established.
Not that I've ever done that before.....or done it before twice;)

I would double my pay. Another thin is I'm getting older and they have paid short-term disability and lifetime disability if something was to happen. I was off for gullbladder surgery and went 2 months without pay here. At wm i would get %75 of my pay.

You don't need to convince us on the move. Only you can make that decision. You really need to sit down and discuss this with your wife not the people on this forum.

gentleroger, TennMan and Crusader66 Thank this.

Well it may help him to bounce questions off of us. There have been time where just talking about it with colleagues answered my own question.

    I wish him the best

Its actually called PTO, not vacation correct? You should have requested that before leaving. You earned it. And just a FYI, your PTO federal tax is doubled. Not sure if it doubled while still employed, but I know if you are not, it doubles.
