I grew up in Fargo ND and there used to be a medical waste incinerator there .
Closed in 2018 ....anyway SOME midwest companies and 1 fargo company would haul food products east and medical waste back to fargo or garbage off the east coast into ohio and indiana .
The gov put the brakes on it in the late 80s .
Twas an outfit in Fargo that ran very nice trucks that did nothing but food east and med waste back that suddenly vanished.
Anybody remember this ?

I did that in the late 80's with a company name of Midwestern Distribution out of Ft. Scott, Kansas.
We hauled food into NYC and garbage to Ohio. I think it was Xenia, Ohio to a garbage dump. The trucks we used were bare bone trucks and were ordered that way from Freightliner.

My hobby was filling out job applications for a new job.
I'd fill out those post card job applications at truck stops all the time. Finally, a boat company called me and offered a job, so I jumped at the chance. Hauled Pro-Craft boats 48 states and Canada for a couple of years, then bailed again for a flatbed outfit running 48 and Canada, then a couple years or so later jumped ship again for refrigerated trucking and really like that, so stuck with it for 18 years. I knew every pot hole from coast to coast and loved it.Tug Toy, Northern Nomad, Dale thompson and 6 others Thank this. -
I thought Robert Lowe had something to do with midwestern ?
