So which is it? The customer is willing to pay 40k, or the agent is willing to ask for 40k? Agent can ask all day long, doesn't mean the answer is gonna be yes. Sounds like customer is willing to pay 18k and no one wants to haul it.... doubt they will more than double the rate because Facebook said they should
Anybody wants to go to Alaska?

I saw the post so I looked, he has it listed on DAT for 30k and its also posted by landstar Ligon on the same lane with no rate advertised.

Hell no!

I would run this for sure if I was set up for it. I'll do it my straight truck day cab!! Need set up for Canada though!
-
Why not pick me up I'll go for 25%.
Mattflat362 Thanks this. -
It really isn't that bad of a drive this time of year. I've done it for a lot less than that before.

I retract my previous statement. Not a fun drive but an adventure you will never forget. Done it once.

20K to fetch, and 20K to deliver into AK.
Tempting.
5000 air miles, call it 6500 ground miles to be generous. Fuel one way would be 3500 dollars give or take.
Team can do this in 6 days. One way maybe 7 if need be.
If Team was paid 1.00 to the truck... 6000 call it 10,000 dollars for the trip each way costs not including everything else to go with the truck, such as insurance, payments etc.
It would be about a 160,000 a month operation per truck. 10 trucks will make it a million plus monthly...
Sure why not? lol. Big enough to make a old driver like me want to buy a bunch of trucks and hire people. -
I struggled driving from Detroit to Ohio on Wednesday in the snow......I can't imagine what that drive would be like!!!
austinmike Thanks this.
