My backhaul tommorow is a load of shopping carts bound for a Walmart. Reading one of the reviews of the shipper the driver said Walmart made him unload them without a dock or proper ramp. My company is a no touch operation other than securement.
Any experience out there?
I did find this video on YouTube:
Lets just say, that won't be an option.

If they don't offer a dock. then unloading like in the video is your best option.

Plenty, from DC to individual stores, when I contracted myself to an Aldi's DC for a couple of years a few years back.
Just roll on/roll off snakes at respective docks.
Can't imagine any Walmart DC or store having anyone do differently.
Video unload definately a labor saver if no pay for extra labor, though.

I've run a bunch of em too. Usually in reverse though, old carts not new. I've picked up old carts from stores going to a couple of places that resell/refurb em. Several of these have been Walmarts. I loaded at the dock in back like every other truck pick/delivery. Never have I NOT used a dock.

It’s been probably 12-15 years ago, but I unloaded in a dock. The load I had was double stacked, so it took a few hours.
I would call the store and confirm the delivery time.Rideandrepair, Tall Mike, 201773 and 1 other person Thank this. -

I'm picking up at the manufacturer, Technibilt in Newton, NC. One of their reviews shows a driver unloading at a Walmart onto a ramp built out of pallets. Hopefully that was an isolated event.Rideandrepair, hope not dumb twucker and FullMetalJacket Thank this.
