I'm picking up a load that is a modular bank vault. It's supposed to consist of a few 11' long, 2' thick slabs of concrete that go together to make a vault. Sounds interesting
Anyone ever haul a modular bank vault??

No, but have hauled a lot of concrete per-cast panels. Are they going to load them flat or angle them on a rack?
-
Supposedly they lay them flat. They are 11' long, 5' wide and 2' thick. Agent said they stack them as well on wood 4x8's and all I have to do is strap them down. Weight is about 42,000 #'s........ either way, I'll be sure to get some pictures. I told the agent I wanted the load that had the money inside it, not just the walls LOL

It would be nice to get the contents as well
By my calculations, based on 150lbs per cf that has served me well.... They should weigh 16,500lbs per panel. Can't wait to see the pics, love the irregular loads.. -
Easy load. Great agent too, if it's who I'm thinking of. I took one out to SLC for him. You gotta love old school agents with contract freight at good rates.
SHC Thanks this. -

Hauled a bank vault door one time outa Parumph,NV - Denver,CO.
Had the frame attached and weighed 45k, 12' wide. Never knew that all that was made of steel in a bank vault was the door assy.SHC Thanks this. -
