My Dad is considering making a switch to Alabama Motor Express, so just wondering if anyone out there had info good/bad on this company, or experiences to share. Thanks so much
Anyone have info on Alabama Motor Express?

I know this is an old thread, but AMX (Alabama Motor Express) was ok when I worked for them (returned to college and left them). They ran a lot of Florida, and also up into the midwest. Don't think I ever did much east-coast with them. The equipment was ok, and I did get an almost new Volvo after 2 months with them. It ran 70 mph but don't know about now. It is a family owned company, they had a separte driving lounge building with sofa and TV, showers and free coffee. Pretty easy to work there at the time. Overall, I would say one of the better small companies I have worked for. Was home every weekend also. Hope this helps for anyone considering them. Located near Dothan Ala.

Just started working for AMX. In orientation all the people were very nice. They got me right back by the house after orientation to get my things. I live in Mobile Al they got me a load going to Gulfport Ms and like I said I went by the house and spent the night. I unloaded the next morning in Gulfport amd came right back to Mobile Al to pick up a load for Monday going to Albuquerque. I will see how it works out. I just started but so far so good.
