    I don't know yet. I couldn't make any SSB contacts with it, yet.

    I managed to contact a trucker who said I was hitting him with a 10 at 2.5 miles away. I was using a 102 whip as my antenna and no kicker.

    Yes it's an export. They've been on the market for about 2 years now.

    There seems to be mixed reviews on the mic....some hate them and some say they're one of the best stock mics out there.

    I had a Skythumper mic on mine the time I contacted the truck driver.

    These radios are packed with a bunch of features. It's a great AM radio. If you're a die-hard SSB user, you may want to shy away. They drift very bad on SSB. Also, there's not an RF power dial, meaning you can set the deadkey from the pot inside, but it's not adjustable from the outside.
