My Quad 6 is triggering the High SWR protect and has almost no receive, but only on channel 19. All other frequencies and modes operate normally. Anyone have any ideas?

I don’t know much about this particular radio I was just wondering if you turn the TSR high SWR protection mode off does it still do this? and maybe try a factory reset?

    Blaskowitz and lilillill Thank this.

I figured out what is wrong but have no idea how it got that way. Channel 19 somehow got set to 28.280. I guess I'm pretty lucky the FCC didn't kick down my door in the middle of the night and drag me kicking and screaming from my bed for keying up on that freq, lol.

Lesson learned... only use the actual frequency display from now on.

WOW! Just when you think you've encountered every weird thing that can happen with radio, or varients thereof, something like this pops up to show you that there is always more.

I've been wracking my brains trying to come up with a possible cause for this one and all I am getting is a headache.

I hope someone, obviously smarter than I, figures this one out, soon!

Good deal I’m glad you got it figured out, sometimes these new radios with several menus can cause more problems just by accidentally bumping a button and not realizing it. I guess that’s why they include a factory reset option for worst-case scenarios.

Just for the record when you do a factory reset on that radio you lose the 11 meter band and then you have to jump through a bunch of Hoops to get the 11 meter band back

lol same thing here. I was worried. Once I got on frequency SWR is just about as good as you can get.

    **edit: my thoughts so far:

I thought I might end up hating the menu-driven settings but, in my case, most if not all of my settings will never need to be changed.

The receive seems to perform well.

One minor annoyance is the hard-wired power leads and the fact that the leads are two separate wires. I will tie them together first chance I get.

On-board speaker is loud. I may not need an external
