I've had 2 driving jobs. 100% vested from day 1 of participation in 401k at both. Guess I'm just lucky.

Post your vesting schedule. I'm not saying you're full of it, just that you probably are full of it.

Vesting schedule? I don't know what that means.

My total balance and vested balance are always the same. Every contribution, mine or company match are immediately vested. Always have been.

Ok, since you couldn't be bothered to explain it, I looked up vesting schedules.

Now that I know what they are I can tell you (once again) that we don't have one at my company ... we are immediately vested. Not sure why you asked for my "vesting schedule" when I already told you this.

Honestly, I wasn't even aware that some companies use vesting schedules to coerce employees into staying with the company longer than they might want to.

Why surprised? No offense, but you seem to approve of all these coersive policies and practices that companies use to keep drivers. Maybe they oughta just treat their drivers with a little more respect and better wages.

Tiered vesting schedules is not about "coercing employees to stay". It's about not wasting time and money investing in people who will take that time and money investment down the road to a competitor.

I guess you wouldn't understand until you've been burned once too many times.
