Are MECHANICAL GOOSENECKS bad for driveline when you hook up?

A neck without a full deck.

 

@cgilliland As far as that picture up there with the ramps...... ITs hard to say. I definitely would've had them built to reach all the way to my 5th wheel.

Somehow i thought it also had to do with the profile

 

a scraper neck will be a lower profile flatter neck for setting down the bowl of scraper on it.

 

This is what I think of as a scraper neck. Wide neck with lower crossmembers. Allows a 623 type scraper to bump tires against neck without belly pan touching. With the early Murrays, we would lay a 4' 4x6 on top of the rails, just enough to clear the pan.
