I’m considering getting my own authority after so many headaches dealing with companies and all the internal issues .
I have my own truck, I can get set up but I don’t have a trailer . So I figured that finding a POWER ONLY broker might be an option . Any input and info is appreciated.

I know nothing of this area of the field but I have HEARD of this outfit. I don’t know if they’re reputable, if they’re crooks, if it’s legit or what they do. I also don’t know if this is of any use to you but if so, it might be a start. Haha good luck dude!

There was someone on here that made it work last year but this year I recall him saying enough was enough and selling the truck.

You might as well just make a rather small investment and buy a trailer. Your opportunity becomes exponentially bigger. There is enough reasons to fail, don’t let boxing your capabilities in be one of them.

Not sure about the authority thing, but I leased my trucks with an outfit in Green Bay hauling rail cans and did ok. Those outfits are all power only,,just be careful with that.:evil3:

Convoy has a power only option now. I think they have them in California and Texas now.

We run some power only off of DAT and Truckstop. They're out there.

They're also my least favorite loads to hunt for trucks, because P/O carriers tend to be a mixed bag. I think @Midwest Trucker gave you some good advice in getting a trailer- that opens things up for you, a lot. That said: if you do go this route, have an understanding of how to run a variety of different types of trailers, and if you're planning on doing OD at all, get good at that, and understanding permits. Don't be like some of the mooks I've had call in on them.

    Best of luck.
