My DOT card is expiring so I’m visiting a physician soon to renew it, but I’m confused. Are you supposed to disclose it to them, or to when you’re hired to drive a CMVs?
What happens if you fail to disclose when you should’ve?
Are you supposed to disclose medication when renewing the certificate or for employment?

If it doesn’t show up on a drug test I wouldn’t. I never did

I always list all my meds when I renew my physical. It is asked if you are being prescribed any medicine by a doctor and if so to list them. Do what you want, but could be a problem if you don't disclose them and it is found out. However unlikely, not being truthful on an official form can bite up in the butt in unexpected ways.
Moosetek13, SoulScream84 and homeskillet Thank this. -
Here's the thing. There's a national DB that has everything you've been prescribed and filled with a pharmacy. If you fail to list it and they find out. Do you want your card denied?

I dont unless its something that may effect your driving. Such as heart meds.

Nope. Never have, never will. 20+ years and 0 problems. As far as people saying there’s a data base, I have never seen concrete evidence to support that claim. Plus, I’ve never signed a release for the medical examiner, so they can’t access my records anyway.

Only what will pop in a wiz quiz, other then that you tell those ######## nothing but the correct answers
Northern Nomad Thanks this.
