Got a quick question on getting the T4 air brake cert through ASE. Have any of you guys got this certification? Or found it to be a worthy little investment?

I see a couple benefits since the whole program would be about $100/$150.

1- being able to legally adjust your own slacks, even at the scale house.
2- being able to change your own slacks legally, and claim it on your maintenance records.
3- you get to wear the patch! I would love to see the look on state police when I open the door with an ASE certified patch on my left shoulder on company logo patch on my chest.

Every two years or so I change all my slacks on the truck and trailer, and slacks are pretty easy to change. By me changing them myself saves a couple hundred and I know it’s done right; with the certification it would all be legal, and logged in the maintenance records. It makes investing into new slacks more often a little more economical. Then the benefit of being able to do it at the scale house if need be, wether an adjustment or a slack r/r
