Well, the "wish list" for unpaid time off is gone. You now get 5 days. If you want to be off for the morning gorgeous a Dr appt. And still come in at say 10-11 and work a full day, they will ding you for one of your days.

    Sooo, not good!

Oh boy it's exciting especially for Arcadia drivers that already have short home time.

I never thought I would see the day when we would become like the "Megas" of the industry. It is sad, a sad day indeed.

I left Sunday and have been working out of drop yards since but I've been filled in on it by 3 different drivers. I don't like it and I think the #### will hit the fan. I think they need to look at other ways of doing this before they go this far. Start by longer stays at home on weekends. I have an 8 and a 5 year old at home and they haven't been to happy with dad showing up at 10 on a Friday night and leaving mid morning sunday

What happened to treating drivers like people? If they have issues with drivers abusing time off, those drivers should be dealt with. Lumping everyone in the same pile is not right. Makes it hard to get good quality drivers when this stuff is thrown out there.

I turned down an Des Moines LTL position last fall because of the lack of paid time off. I couldn't give up 3 weeks vacation, 10 holidays and 6 personal days for one week after a year. I tried to negotiate but it was a non starter with your HR.

I gave up all that myself and I'm fine with that to a point. After a few years I'll have it all back. The money did alot of the talking to get me over here.

I live in the Jamestown, NY area. Does Ashley hire in that area and are you home weekends? Don't know anything really, about the company. I do pick up from time to time in Arcadia and deliver Ashley loads. But that's about it. I do know they REALLY like to use seals for everything. The drop lot is a sea of seals.lol

There is a drop yard in Jamestown NY. Yes we are home weekly and some drop yard guys seem to get home quite regular during the week from what I see. I'm typically home 40 to 48 hrs weekly. The money is in the ltl side in my opinion but I do believe ptp(truck load) does alright as well.

The last job posting I have which is only a few weeks old shows they have openings for ptp in Jamestown but not ltl. You never know though an ltl spot can open up at anytime.
