I get my one year in and I am going to talk with Mr. Wanek. I will never forget the day he was walking fast through the plant, took a sharp detour, right up to me, shook my hand and thanked me for my hard work, then continued on, not talking to another single person, in the highly populated area of Assembly.

-
Don is still there, says he is going no-where, he's digging in. LOL
Sublime Thanks this. -
PTP will run 48 states, they say, but I live down south, and stay down south. I like it. Money is good, and equipment the best.

Does anyone know anything about Ashley truckload drop and hook out of Houston? They are always running an ad for drivers. I called and talked to a lady in recruiting and she said home most weekends, but for only 34 hr. restart. I wouldnt mind that sometimes, but not on a regular basis. I'd appreciate any info from some of you guys in this division.

I had a pretty solid first week out tue-sun. got my load home now will be in around noon tomorrow. bounced around the southeast to texas all week.
still on information overload though. it's a lot to take in learning a new system and getting out of the comfort zone I was in previously.....not to mention trying to find some of these places for the first time in the dark late at night in the middle of nowhere.
be glad you got one of the big Volvos. I got stuck with one of the small ones. still nicer than the crapcadia I was driving before -

Well it looks like you folks are doing ok, 2800 to 2900 is about right this time of year, after the kids go back to school it will start to pick up more, your first year will be a little bumpy, the next year will work out very good. And you guys just started and they gave you a raise, can not beat that.
