If the light is there, it must work. Only required to have the minimum, but if you are a rolling light show, every one of those 99 million lights must work...

I had a problem with marker lights in TX once.... Picked up a load in WA down to TX. I walked around the truck at every fuel stop and when I hit the crappy TX roads I noticed two marker lights at the rear of the trailer wiggled loose. two of three. I plugged them back in and kept going.
150 miles or so down the road I get pulled over... LEO gives me an inspection and reassures me there will be no points as he hands me a failed inspection because the two marker lights came unplugged again... Whatever, I just signed it and let the company know. They had someone send in a dataq and had it removed.
You can get a ticket or failed inspection for whatever a LEO thinks is just. Fight it if you know better. -
It's why I like bare crimps with shrink over them, the problem is over.
