As the country continues being invaded by millions of people from the third world, there will be plenty of new CDL holders in our near future, which will lower wages for everybody.

An article from https://www.vox.com/ says that "c
ompanies across the United States can’t find enough employees and the US needs roughly 10 million people, including low-wage and high-skilled workers, to fill job openings nationwide — and only 8.4 million Americans are actively seeking work."

Immigrants could fix the US labor shortage

At this point, what is there to lose? I think it would help. Look at how many run teams, and a team is a dream come true for a brokerage or trucking company. I do agree, that it wouldn't be a long term fix.

As someone else may have mentioned, ok, that solves drivers, now what about trucks and parking

But, what percentage of these "immigrants" can speak, write, and understand English? Are we to insist that all companies now print everything bi-lingual, think Quebec? And do we now require all American truckers to learn spanish so we can converse with these "immigrants"?
Higher pay and better working conditions will bring in enough Americans to fill these jobs.

It's not like CDL examiners are enforcing the English requirement anyway....

Classes in Creative Parking 101 lol....I actually don't find parking to be an issue, but I'm not overly reliant on truck stops(particularly the big corporate ones) for parking.

Im usually fine too, but my point is new drivers by definition dont know the areas and all the hidey holes, and as hard a time as people are having getting the trucks they ordered almost a year ago or more, what vehicles will these 80k new drivers be in?

    bryan21384 Thanks this.
