Very nice, I see many around DC pole trucks but mostly Late model units pulling belly dumps here in ND & MT

So I finally got my new toy home with an interesting 780 mile drive from Denver - Belgrade MT, I really didn't pay much attention to a strange looking horizontal canister mounted behind the fuel tank, latter I realized its a Luberfiner 750 an auxiliary bypass
Oil filter, this means that the oil capacity is increased by up to 3 gals' that would explain where most of my oil disappeared too ,,,!!!
The rest via what I believe to be worn blower seals, which is known issue with 92 Series DD, also it had partially blocked intake plenum vent valves, these are what gives the DD the name "driptroit " as they are designed to bypass any collected oil between the blower and the intake / liner valley, they feature a pressure regulated spring which will close at a positive pressure, but relief any collect oil at idle / low rpm, these will later be routed to catch tanks, rather than on the road.
I noticed my low oil level in Casper WY, with no hope of finding Delo 100 40WT on a Sat' afternoon I was forced to run top off with 15w/40 Delo 400
Truck runs good and this trip has helped me identify what needs to be done
PS pump & steering box rebuild
Hendrickson RS suspension bushing rebuild
Air compressor
Front hub seals / check brgs
The tractor is light when going through WY scale
Ft ax 9420lbs
Rr tan 6500 lbs
this is on 200" WB with 3/8" deep section type frame.
On my last trip home I had to wait 3 days for 12 gals of Delo 100, serviced the Luberfine, stripped out the basic interior, installed a nice 18" steering wheel. -

View attachment 54195 This is a 1984 A-car I use to drive years ago, 400 Cummins / 13 spd, real good truck. Was getting ready to hook to the black trailer you see on the right, 45ft flat on air, the tank was 53 ft long, 11 ft tall, 18 ft wide, and weighed 83,000 lbs. O'l A-car with the Cummins had no problem with it.

Looking to pick up a 1988 white gmc Volvo with cat 350 cummin, as well as a 1986 single axle with cat 325 cummin. Both have 400/5 over trans. For 7500. Decent shape and were used for carring fair equipment. Any thoughts?? Can I still work them?? If so, what can I up the HP?? I'm trying to put up pics

A-car badge on the front, you should put a Volvo badge on one side and a GM badge on the other and freak people out.

The Cab's are actually a revised / updated version on the White Road Boss 2 that was badged as White/GMC, Volvo & Autocar (no GM parts in the White/GMC) and remained in production until 2003 so cab wise the are tons around on the road & in salvage yards, Frame is 100% Volvo the rest of the parts are generic HD truck, of course if it's got a Volvo engine then that's a different story
The cab design was then acquired by Autocar after 2003 when Volvo sold the rights to the Autocar garbage truck. -
