I've almost always run 5 up through there. There is one low bridge up by Irving right after 5 and 20 split, but it's not a bad drive in general. I don't remember what it's posted at since I haven't done much NY in years and don't do it at all anymore. From Shortman Road (first exit out of PA right before the toll booth) up to Silver Creek and Irving is actually one of my favorite stretches of road I've run.

Interesting links... I've ran every restricted rd on the map except for Rt 89 and 41A running divisible load permits(107,000lbs).
41A is signed outside of Skaneateles on 20 for no oversize(10' i think). Always saw trucks(mainly garbage haulers) though it wasnt heavy traffic, passed troopers before to. Guess I was lucky...

I saw them once, pulling trucks into Clifton Springs rest area 20 miles E of Rochester... Had portable scales, one and only time about 7yrs ago.

I caught them a few months ago at the WB rest area by Bath. Yellow lights on the highway pulling in all trucks. They had probably a dozen on the lot giving them the royal treatment. I pulled in with an oversize (forget how wide now) and stopped. Naturally I stopped because no one told me go or not and you don't open that can of worms. Finally this one cop looked at me like I was retarded and screamed "Get the F*** outta here!" Needless to say he didn't have to say it twice.
