Can you go this way between Parker and I-10 exit 45? Or do you have to take Hwy 95 to Quartzite?

72 to vickburg rd is shorter, lots of truck traffic from the Fresno crowd. Takes about the same amount of time if you stick anywhere near the posted 55mph speed limit on 72. If you do keep it close to law abiding ... some "new to america" non driver will undoubtedly attempt to pass you in a very unsafe place. Half of the road is twisty and curvy, other half is rolling ish hills, not steep grades, just up and down desert terrain because of washes. SR95 to 10 is much better road.

Wikipedia says that it parallels an old rail right-of-way, so I'd assume there are few steep grades.

72 from Parker to Vicksburg road/I-10 is a viable truck route. Running Man is the truck stop in Parker.

72 is a 55mph road and Yuma county deputies patrol this road and will enforce its speed limit.

This route is subject to flooding and has several dips where washes are present.
There's a particular nasty one on Vicksburg road that bit me several years ago, so beware.

There's a Pilot at Vicksburg road and I-10 that has a large vacant lot across the road and there's another rinky dink truck stop on the other side of the interstate.

I took 95 to Quartzsite. 65 MPH speed limit. No bears. That truck stop across the interstate from the Pilot is a One9 now. Has a big dirt lot and practically sure thing parking late at night.

I ran 72 everytime I had the Phoenix to Havasu/Bullhead Petsmart store route. It's a legal truck route, but you WILL get pushed by the traffic that wants to run 70 mph out there

I ran it because I had to get off the 10 to fuel at the Pilot anyway, but if I didn't, I'd have probably just gone to Quartzsite and up 95.
