There is also a lot of people that will steal anything they can get their hands on just so they can sell it to buy more meth

Just because the theft happened at a place where other trucks are doesn't mean it was one of them

I'm trying to figure out how the OP knows these thefts are being perpetrated by owner operators.

Because a company driver doesn't care about spare tires. That's road service's job.

Same with fuel. Companies problem, not the drivers.

First common carrier I worked for I asked where's the spare. He told me, "you are going to the US,,it will just get stolen" That was decades ago. If you do carry a spare use a very good locking system. I would go as far as locking fuel caps.

We were once picking out a headstone; off in the corner was an old headstone with a name and dates, I asked if they had misspelled the name or something. His answer was no, they had to repo the headstone. I thought man that sucks for everyone involved.

Really? Ever sat in a truckstop and been offered to buy new load locks for $10 from company drivers?

Not only that, crack heads steal anything and everything they can get their hands on. Posting a headline like the OP did here in the owner operator section is like the fake news click bait tactics a lot of outlets use.

As a company driver, did you pay them the $10?

What does that mean? I don't have a habit of buying stolen goods from anyone.

You're the one that made the leap that company drivers wouldn't buy or sell a spare tire, not me. My point is pretty obvious, no need for me to waste anymore time on the subject.

Thank god for "unwatch thread" on this forum ;-)
