Things you don't expect to find... That fitting must have been just barely finger tight. It didn't leak for 200k miles, but in the cold snap I had a leak that got worse the colder it got. And of course on a carhauler I couldn't reach to figure out what it was. So after pulling decking to find it, they'd basically turned the fitting until lined up but didn't go the full round more it needed. I guess it finally wore enough of the orange thread sealant off that it would leak when it shrink up in the frigid air.

I shouldn't really complain, other than a horrible initial alignment and tightening a few hose clamps, I haven't had any other factory fubars one expects to find. 20240121_130023.jpg

This cold weather reveals an amazing amount of problems that aren't apparent above 50 degrees.
