If its possible to lock and stitch a cracked 5.9L "53 Block" Cummins, a threaded hole in an engine block shouldn't be impossible.

What mounts a lift or transfer pump to the block? Other than something ridiculous that uses an automotive type mechanical fuel pump for a lift pump, i’d expect to find it bolted to an accessory drive or something driven off it.

That’s about as old school as it gets. If my guys can’t MacGyver them up on the side of the road and get going on their own, it’s broke bad enough we’re going out with one of the rgn’s to get it. I can’t remember the last time I paid a bill at an outside shop for anything but parts.

I learned to MacGyver when I was a kid on the farm
I'd like to say I can MacGyver with the best of em
My freight dictates that I have to be able to do that if need be with the stop watch ticking as a bonus
That's the reason I try my very best stay on top of things with PM.. and also why I'am a fond lover of a mechanical CAT..
Short of ventilating a block or melting down a motor or turbo.. I can pretty much apply enough bandaids to limp home or somewhere get the problem fixed

    kranky1 and jamespmack Thank this.
