Similar in California recently. Criminal tipped off an Asian man was leaving the bank with over $200,000 in a leather bag.
Sure enough he was mugged and the money stolen.

In Florida a few years ago a bank employee called a buddy of his that was a crooked cop and the crooked cop did a traffic stop and just murdered the man and stole the cash .
    Finally got caught and convicted
Next time You see a cop , be polite , they most likely are a thug like these, or are helping them by looking the other way.

this is a amazing story of police corruption.

The husband could of took care of them no problem if he was armed when coming out of the building. I could not imagine carrying that much cash with me and not having a gun on my person or someone with me that was armed.

Yep. Back in Jan when 401k’s were only loosing a couple thousand a week I took out a 40k loan from it. Needed to expand the shop anyway. Wife and I figured better use it now or loose it this year by July anyway. The bank had to wait 7 days for the transaction to clear and cash order to come in. We felt like sitting ducks standing there at the counter with other people in line behind us while they counted out the stacks. Needless to say we both had our Sigs at hands reach. Nerves high as we drove around going nowhere out of the way making sure we didn’t have a tail before heading home. Lol!

    Me neither
But what I did imagine was someone pulling and pointing without firing. Or worse hitting someone else

Only way to leave a bank with big cash is your buddy waiting in your car with a gun in hand under cover and you walking with your hand ON gun preferably in the bag with cash.
