What other companies and industries hire truck drivers?
So far I read about working for entertainers, construction, and pepsi.
What else?
Do they have an experience requirment or no?
Besides straight up trucking companies

Check with local mining companies, plus farms and construction companies. Good luck!

There are businesses that do something other than trucking as their primary function, and having a CDL and the ability to drive is an addition to the job, not the primary skill. Many companies such as landscapers, factory maintenance companies, and other companies that do specialized work do this. For example, there are companies that respond to railroad accidents putting derailments back on the track. They use trucks, but they are not the priamry focus of their business. You just have to look around for jobs like that. Sometimes they can be good places to start, offering on the job experience to be gained, instead of specific school based learning.

some times rental companies that rent out small construction equipment to either contractors or home owners. you know, things like a "bobcat", maybe an air compressor, maybe a backhoe..........
then there are "scaffolding companies" , plumbing supply companies, building material companies............. maybe a medical van, like a Blood Center Donation vehicle, and other "hospital type" of services for the inner neighborhoods..........frankly, this list can go on. most of those jobs can be of a class B CDL, but a class A CDL is always good, as it allows you to do more. -
The Transport Topics 2006 Top 100 Private U.S. and Canadian Carriers is based on the number of tractors they own or lease. The data do not include tractors used by outside carriers that may provide dedicated services. I do not find any Canadian carriers on the list. Food processing and grocery distribution firms continue to dominate the list, accounting for 45 of the top 100. Petroleum, chemical and gas companies numbered 19. Wholesale and retail distribution also had 19 companies, followed by manufacturing with 12.
The only waste hauler on the list is California-based Norcal Waste Systems, No. 86 with 321 tractors. Cemex Inc., the largest cement producer in North America, is ranked No. 56. Flying J is No. 51 with 531 tractors.
Here are the top ten Private Carriers.
