Best Canadian Gas Station Restaurants

Nairn truck stop is the dirtiest place I’ve seen, plus at the beginning of all this covid bs, they shut down their bathrooms and showers, (not that I’d use either). Gross gross gross place. I avoid it like the plague.

 

The restaurant at the 24/7 in Dafoe SK (Hwy 16) is worth the stop (restaurant is not 24hrs).
The Mohave grill across the road from the flying J in Red Deer never disappoints.
Blackjack's in Nisku is a good feed also.

 

Good to know. I've gone to the yearly truck show at Blackjack's the last couple years but never ate there. Now I live like 3 range roads away so I may have to go check it out one of these weekends.

 

That used to be one of the better stops in Ontario. Mind you I haven't been in there for years

 

They are good people running that place. Normally it cost $10 to park there overnight with security on premises overnight and they would give you a $5 coupon for the restaurant or the next time you park there. Throughout the covid crap they had to shut down the restaurant but they didn't charge for parking, kept security in the lot overnight and offered us a bagged lunch to say thank you for being out during covid

 

Years ago yes it was, back before they built the new restaurant, was a great happening place!
