So I don't have a clue? Now that annoys me. I suggest you go to www.fcc.gov/guides/personal-radio-services-prs-keeping-touch
where it states the following:
.
CB service allows private, two-way radio communications for personal or business use. Communications (or attempts to communicate) with stations over 250 km (155.3 miles) away are prohibited. The maximum authorized power levels vary depending on whether the station is transmitting a single side band (SSB) or an AM signal. SSB transmissions are authorized up to 12 watts Peak Envelope Power (PEP), while AM transmissions are permitted up to four watts carrier power.
I clearly stated that I was referring to FACTORY STOCK RADIOS several times in my previous post. Anyone purchase a factory stock cb radio with more than 4 watts of power --- don't think so.
Any cb shop want to sell a factory stock cb radio with more than 4 watts of power --- the FCC would like to have an expensive little chat with you. -
Wrong again. Go buy a stock cobra or something and hook it up to a meter, then key up and behold what you see. Then come back and discuss it with me.
