Meanwhile -- starting out driving for Knight, or Swift...you will be on a trainer's truck for 3 to 5 weeks....which is actually about right...& so they are better choices.

    Better choices for who?
@Dm6464 doesn't seem to be a slow learner, by reading his questions and posts.
Swift Refrigerated, I do recommend though because of the money aspect. Go for the money, right out of the gate, unless money isn't on the priority list.

To be clear, I'm not asking newbies to get hired at a company and then choose a CDL company. I'm suggesting you do all the research among all the trucking companies that offer what you need and also hire newbies. Once you have it narrowed down to one or two employers you want to work for, ask the company for CDL school recommendations. Most newbies go to whatever CDL school is convenient or cheapest or fastest. Later they can get hired by the better employers because the school doesn't have something the company's insurance company requires. Everyone with a pulse can complete CDL school. It's finding the employee you can stay at for 12 months that is the hard part. Find the answer to the hard part and let that answer decide the answer for the easier question.

    Too much fun?.... :p :)

If you've been around the block,
You've seen reefer is a crock
Too much sitting at a dock
    And "splitting" your DOT clock...
so later you won't go into hock.
To soon hate it -- is no shock.
    That's why --
it's not hard at all to mock. :D

Hi, are you recommending I don't consider reefer if it's one of my options?

I would not have written the above drivel....if I thought that reefer was a good game plan -- & ESPECIALLY for a rookie driver.

Pick something else....to start out your driving career -- & maybe try reefer later, after you have GREAT backing skills...& also ---> you have been properly schooled.....& practiced....on how to "split" your DOT clock.

    You can thank me later....

I don't see a post # on any of the messages. Which were you referring to?
