    called them today, they stated that if I reside in TX I have to have CDL A in hand before they would consider me for hire

    Well most of the company's you listed I found required 3 years on your license. Finally got ahold of Swift they only require 1 year and waiting on a response from millis but I suspect the same. So looks like I will be waiting till march to apply most likely with swift. Probably try to get my permit and physical done early in February if I can.

    Once I have my CDL how much is my license history going to restrict me? In other words will companies be looking at that still license history or do they only focus on your commercial license history? Just curious in case I manage to save up for school myself will companies like swift and millis still be my only options?
