Your lack of research and networking about company driver take home pay is very entertaining. Tell us TTR Company drivers more! :biggrin_2559:

    Found your previous post.

Not going to give you the benefit of which companies pay very well as a company driver and home every night and we haul our own freight:biggrin_25524:. $1500 take home is very real as company driver.

Welcome to TTR. Subscribing to thread.

You pay your taxes weekly? Or is that an average after filling your quarterly(including self employment tax of 15 percent)?
To be honest, I personally know very few company drivers, maybe a dozen. They say they make between 1100 to 1200 a well. Plus very good benefits, 401k etc. I don't know about you, but I can't get even crap health insurance for my family for under 800 a month. But even if we forget about benefits, I don't see how taking on the risk of being a business owner for a measly 250 dollars a week.

I usually set aside $2000 a quarter for tax. I have been a company driver at 41cpm and only gross around $1200 a week, its very difficult to take home over a thousand a week as a company driver I've never heard of it.

I've had good local jobs home everyday making $25 hour and that still isn't $1500 a week.

You are comparing apples to oranges. And forgetting about a few very important details. Such as trying to compare true weekly take home as an employee to "take home" as a contractor. There are a LOT of expenses still left to be taken out of that settlement check. Health insurance for a family of four is over two hundred a week. Federal state and local income taxes. A full 15 percent self employment tax. Granted, the taxes are going to be low simply because there is not much profit to pay tax on in this scenario. It also doesn't help that you are trying to compare things to a ridiculously low 41 cpm pay scale. As another poster above said, I believe you have little knowledge of what good pay is for an employee driver. Hint, it sure isn't the otr mega box carriers.

I,ve ran my own truck for some time now and $2000 a quarter covers all my fed taxes and then some. As far as health ins I dont know what you pay but for three of us its only $550 mnth for good ins.

Company driver is still coming out on top. Your talking gross, deduct taxes insurance etc. You will make less than a company driver bottom line. Sorry.

If your taxes are anywhere near $8000 a year, you either need to be A) clearing close to $75K after operating expenses or B) need to fire whomever is doing your taxes.
