Best lube for winches

astroglide, apparently you can put it on a saint bernard and fit it through the cat door

WD40 isn't a lubricant

 

What's the difference between a winch and a wench ?

We can lube them both up and they perform like champs.

 

I carry an oil can and give them a little squirt when standing around waiting to load/unload. I do my ratchet binders to, helps bring the sqirt of grease out in them. No matter what you use it will wash off in the rain, but lasts a couple weeks. I use my used motor oil since I change my own, so don't cost nothing.

 

Chain oil is good, doesn't attract the dust/dirt like wd40

 

It is a water displacement
