My nephnew is lives in Jacksonville fl. What would be the best "company paid" school for him to attend?
I had my class A long before the cdl came out. So i am unfamiliar with the different training companies.
My company does not train not hire with less than 5 years experiance.

If he wants flatbed, Cypress Truck Lines has their own cdl school in Jacksonville.
Dry van - CFI - www.cfidrive.com will send him to school in Missouri. Transportation, food & lodging provided.

If he wants to pull reefers, definitely contact FFE (Frozen Food Express) and Jim Palmer Trucking. FFE has 2 terminals in Florida.
Jim Palmer Trucking probably send him to either Springfield, MO or Missoula, Montana.
FFE - probably send him to Mississippi to KLLM's cdl school at Hinds Community College.

Tell your nephew to get all endorsements; even tanker/hazmat. He'll pull tanker/hazmat loads in dry van and reefer trailers. It's liquid in huge plastic containers that sit on pallets. Trucking companies value a driver with all the endorsements.

Ah thanks for that. Probably not bad advise at least until renewal time. At one time I had all endorsments. However I let them all go except motorcycle double/triples. I didn't need, but can always go get the others, if need arises. I also did not renew my twic card

Thanks for the list of companies, was hoping for a school in Florida or close to it. If he has to go out of town and stay somewhere. Then I guess he coyld choose between any of the megas. Ie swift, prime, schneider, crst, jb (I think) kllm, crete, and the list goes on. I couldn't tell him who is any better than the other. I figure they all have good, bad, great, and terrible trainers?

I only listed what are probably the best.
Those four I listed all hire out of Florida and give him a good mix of flatbed, dry van, refrigerated. Can also add Prime Inc. refrigerated division; so that gives him 5 decent choices.
    CFI - www.cfidrive.com - dry van
    Jim Palmer Trucking - refrigerated
FFE (Frozen Food Express) - refrigerated
    Cypress Truck Lines - flatbed
    Prime Inc. - refrigerated division

KLLM owns FFE and I think they use the same school at the same time.
