Best place to buy inverter?

    Yes you can. You need an inverter/charger. That is the key. You connect the charger part to the generator with an electric start. It senses low power and starts the generator automatically. It is how off grid homes are setup. Or atleast mine was that way.

    Edit: I forgot to add this: for this type of setup you don't need a big generator at all. All the generator is doing is charging your batteries....that's it. Your not running anything off of it. Your inverter is still doing that. Your inverter is just telling your generator that the batteries are low and needs a charge.

    More Edit: depending on your setup of choice, you might also need a charge controller.

    Last 3 trucks have had xantrax with the shore power set up. 55 watt battery charger. You can plug in to charge dead batteries or when your home plug it in and the fridge and or bunk heater dont kill the batteries. Batteries seem to last longer also? I'm on 5 years with these and they work great still. Batteries like to be exercised a little not sit.
