Hey all, I’m at a place in my life where I need to chase the money and find the highest paying job.
I’ve been delivering crude and refined fuels in addition to bulk products (pneumatics) in doubles for almost 20 years, no accidents.
I’ve got a job I love right now delivering fuel locally and home every night, but due to the extreme seasonal nature of my area, it’s not paying the bills. I’m currently located in Montana, but I’m willing to go anywhere. I’ve worked in the oil field in the past, and been over the road regionally (local states only) So I know what it’s like to not be home and I’m willing to do that again for the right job. I’ve got some leads on oil field jobs, but I have very little info about OTR specialized liquids or fuel transport. I’d like to make at least 2500 a week to make it worthwhile. I’m hearing that’s a possibility with the right company and route. Also I’m wondering if people can make the kind of money I need in a metro market with terminal based fuel delivery. Any input is appreciated. Thank you so much!

I know that it’s Portland and everyone hates Portland, but we have higher pay in the fuel game than Seattle and other areas. Pay is anywhere from low $30’s an hour to mid $40’s. Most companies can have you making between $125-$150k a year. Alpha is load pay and those guys make anywhere from $120-$190k a year
lual, FullMetalJacket and Soderhamn2000 Thank this. -
Contact JJ Williams. they are in Longview, WA and Spokane, WA

Isnt jj williams a spin off of TWT or System? I know a few guys that went to twt and system. Low pay beginner companies. Lowish miles for OTR as well. Decent equipment though.

Yeah JJ is the tanker side. Last I knew they only made like $325 a day or something like that, which is pretty poor considering you’re hauling corrosives and other hazmat products. They also have pneumatics and some sort of hoppers from what I’ve seen. They’d probably be a good start in the chemical world I guess. But could make quite a bit more hauling fuel.
