Best Specs for 2007 Freightliner Columbia Detroit Series 60 14L?

    I'm pulling a dry van 53 footer mostly in the Midwest and sometimes as far south as Atlanta Georgia or a little further south of that. I'm looking to get the best fuel mileage while still having decent power. What specs or modifications are recommended? The truck has an Eaton Fuller 10-speed trans and I mostly haul anywhere from 42 to 45K in the box.

    I am not a expert on specs. I do prefer a 13 speed. But at the moment i have a 10. I can tell you this. Run easy, don't hammer down. Just cause the posted speed is 70, you don't have to maintain 70. Most trucks are set up good from factory spec wise.

    Keep your rpms below 1500. Try and keep your turbo boost under 6 lbs.
