Any of Jack Rust's companies out of Springfield and surrounding towns, MO.
River Road Trucking, AJs Express, Route 66, etc.
    Best starter companies hands down.
You'll start at 28% of every load.
    Non-forced dispatch
Freedom to drop and lock your trailer and PC whenever you need to run errands (45 mins per day PC max)
You can have a dog and a rider.
Small family owned company who will treat you with dignity and respect (as long as you're not an idiot, in which case, you'll be fired with dignity and respect)
Top of the line equipment, Internationals and Petes, all 2020 or newer.

I was blessed to get hired on by them straight out of school, no experience, only able to pass urine test, on parole with a criminal background as tall as you. They took a chance on me and I spent my first 100k miles running hard for them. Love these folks to death! Will never have anything negative to say about them. Moving on to greener pastures now that my hands aren't tied and I've got the experience.

I can't find much about that. Which companies do you mean?
I found River Road and AJ's in Missouri but that's it.
    Do you have any websites?

no company is good if they pay by load percentage, especially in this freight market

I just want to point out for anyone who missed it that a moderator removed referral info from the post.

Because solicitation for referrals on here is against the rules.

For good reason. That's why I wanted to point it out. In my book, when someone says a company is good to work for they automatically lose all credibility as soon as they ask to be used as a referral.

That doesn't make since. How were your hands tied? Bad background? You loved this outfit so much, why are you leaving? Tell us the real story. This sounds like a recruiting post.

You didn't read the post. No company wanted to give me a shot because no experience, on parole, couldn't pass hair follicle.
They are a starter company. Not a retirement company. I'm moving on because they book loads through CH Robinson and they are absolute clowns.
Put in my 2 weeks notice and begin with a great small family owned company making 65cpm next week.

Freight market isn't down, you're just getting loads booked through a crappy dispatch service. Uncle pulls for Purdy as company driver making 28% running no more than 2500 miles per week. He's pulling in 1800-2000 after taxes. They use echo logistics, nothing less than $2 per mile
