I am in a situation to where I am flexible on where I move to base my hotshot business. Are there any states that are better than others as far as outbound loads are concerned? I have read that Tennessee is one of the best states for trucking, but I was also told that Ohio is one of the best for hotshot?

Back in early 2000's, I ran a lot of freight in, around & out of Texas.

edit..
The drawback to cars is they are always heavy.. However, I've kinda gotten where I like doing cars more than freight because you can get a load pretty much anywhere but also no real waiting. You load yourself and go.. The only time I have to wait for someone to load me is at insurance auctions and the big Carvana lots (because they bring the cars to you).
Also no need to factor anything or wait on payment 90% of the time I get paid COD.Last edited: Feb 24, 2022
