Wouldn't 3 $25k trucks amount to 3 old pieces of constantly breaking down junk? Serious question because I don't know.

I’d look for a 2018 Kenworth T680 with an X15. Otherwise, it’ll be the ISX engine and it’s not as efficient nor as reliable.

The best truck is a paid for truck. I'd start there.

Yeah the OP would probably have good luck with the Freightliner Cascadia. Less electrical problems than a Volvo and you can keep it out of the shop ,on the road more

I like the DD13. I don’t run in mountains though or I might not. That’s the main reason I run Freightliner. The Detroit, in my humble opinion, is one of the best and most economical engines out there. You can get them in a Western Star, but they aren’t nearly as plentiful, and their aero trucks are just too much for me. I don’t have much pride in my ride, but I do have a little.

Not an option with a Paccar truck. Sounds like you already know what you want and it's a Cascadia with a Detroit.

I guess Cascadia is the winner. Its incredible how used truck prices shot up this year. Just like everything else

Always been a Cummins man. I don’t own anything else. I can’t comment on the Detroit personally, having no experience with it.
