I've been in rest areas when DOT officers came in and started banging on truck doors, waking drivers up to do inspections. We would think, they wouldn't be so ignorant, but they are and I've witnessed this happen.

Ive drove past rest areas early in the morning and seen this happening... Ohio is where ive seen it the most.

In another transportation field I worked in, inspectors and managers were mostly failures at the actual work. After a person wrecked enough equipment they were promoted to where the only thing they could damage was a computer. And of course the entire business, incidentally.
