BEWARE OF MERCER

I was terminated without cause and without warning. Our contract stipulates 15 days notice but they ignore this. Apparently Mercer is having financial problems and is cutting loose drivers who live in certain areas because they don’t have a large customer base. This left me scrambling to find another carrier and now I must go through a new orientation process. I have lost a week of revenue. Additionally, they are holding my final settlement until I travel at my own expense to Louisville to turn in decals and permit books. I have decided to hire an attorney instead. As a driver they will always throw you under the bus. Mercer policy is the customer is always right and the driver is always wrong. They will never back you up when their is a conflict. Just save the trouble and find a company that doesn’t treat you like an expendable number.

 

. Whatever. Don’t believe everything Mercer tells you. They are not going to advertise their financial problems are they?

 

Had my own authority for 17 years. I was never once terminated. I will reactivate my authority if this new carrier doesn’t work out.
