I was ahead of the massive pileup this morning on the 90 by 15 mins. But anyone that reads this and may be new to truck driving: this is the weirdest weather I’ve seen in washington in November/early December. Just because you don’t see snow or ice patches, slow down and get somewhere safe for a bit when the fog hits your windshield and instantly turns to a sheet of ice. I heard different reports, but last I heard was 36 vehicles piled up with 14 semis, 2 ambulances and a stack of other vehicles. All kept the piling up doing 60 in the frozen fog over the blind dips of the 90. Slowwwwwww down and get off somewhere safe in the frozen fog if you can’t see the giant dips in the road ahead. Scary ****

Where exactly is the pileup? I'll be headed through there tomorrow morning.

No, I haven't ventured out there. I'd probably do it for the first time during good weather. I'm not interested in learning a new road in the snow.

The drivers that run from Wenatchee to Seattle do not use hwy 2. They all go down to 90 and over to Seattle instead. I went over hwy 2 once from north of Seattle to Wenatchee and i would not send anyone else especially in the winter.

Make sure your defroster works excellent before getting into that stuff.
See it a lot in Alaska.

    Siinman Thanks this.
