I had a head gasket problem that I'm taking care of but while it's apart I figured it is upgrade time, Premco +10% injectors are on the way and a Holset HT60 as well, my old HT 3 has the screw in oil return with a split line going to the Bypass oil filter, I'm going to get the bolt on return line, Do I need the split line or can I just block it off at the filter base , Thanks in advance

If I understand that correctly you would be blocking off your bypass oil filter. That is not recommended. Believe you have a stamped steel oil pan. Does it not have some extra plugs on the sides. The filter return sound go back the crankcase some where. Drill and tape a hole in the dipstick plate if necessary. I thank there are to plates on the side of the block on those.
