Hopefully this new process turns out to be great help to both the individual truck drivers & the trucking companies alike.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.

Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, every night, all year round.

I still want a physical long form, and would still send it to my state, so when the Feds muff it up, I can show that I am medically certified. In FL, there are still delays. Previously I used to self certify from home, the one time I got my physical within a week of old one expiring. 3 weeks later I got an email from the state saying my license was no longer suspended and my medical certification had been processed. Had I been stopped during those few weeks in between, it would have showed my license being suspended for no medical certification. From then on I went from the doctor to the DMV and had them scan it in directly. And this is just FL, with that long of a delay in processing with the limited number of FL CDL drivers, I can imagine how long the delay will be when the Feds have to process millions every year. I can see a total fuster cluck with this system for the first 3 or 4 years.

    Remember what Mr. Scott says

I always go straight to the DMV after the physical to update my medical and get the paper update handed to me. I don't trust some government worker to update it through the mail or however they receive it.

You have your medical paperwork with you and you get PARKED because the state hasn’t filed it on their computer. How’s that for government efficiency but, you get to set because they must not be qualified for the job. I had proof of being legal but, the computer said differently. So I was in the wrong.

    Lite bug Thanks this.
