If you're feeling kinda spooked about an area that you have no choice but to sleep there. Get yourself a ball of twine, string works too. Then tie one end of the twine to your passenger door handle, run the twine/string thru your air horn ring then onto your drivers side door handle. Pull it taught before tying off on the drivers door, or the other door. If somebody tries to open either door to get in, if that air horn don't wake you up immediately, then check your pulse you might already be dead. LoL maybe give you new guys and gals out there a little piece of mind to get some good sleep out there. Be careful out there and don't get in a hurry! It's not worth it.

Clever. You can always put a ratchet strap from one door to the other. Saw some guy do that. Or you could just not park where you don't feel safe but it isn't always that easy.

I saw this guy at a rest area a few weeks ago that had giant butcher knives, like 18" long, jammed in the window on both doors right in the middle of the window where they were super obvious. I guess it's to warn people to leave him alone. Kinda weird but ok, probably works.

    If they get the point....win!

Can't blame the fella with the knives for taking a stab at warding away bad people.

That puts him a cut above the rest in my book.

    HA!

    ;)

I guess locking the doors is too simple.

It must be nice to live in fear.

Most Volvo have a button on the wheel or dash for air horn. No pull cord.

Seat belt through the door handle and locked in. Nobody gets in. Simple and free.

I can't believe I never thought of that. I rarely worry about this but once or twice a year I do. I'm going to try that.
