Where did the Driver make a bad decision? Only a legal log be used in a dispute.
No matter how large or small a company is, Service must exceed customers exspectations...be on time or re-schedule the appointment, but never just show up late with out communications between the carrier and the customer.
There are legal methods of recovering the drivers lost wages (thanks C.C.).

Seems like we are seeing this stuff more and more as Fuel prices and the cost of driving goes up but the cost of freight stays low. These companies are looking for anyway to turn a buck even if it means doing what was done here!
