Blown tractor protection valve

i just replaced a brake chamber on a drive axle, fired it up and built pressure. Released the parking brake, and depressed the brake pedal to measure rod movement got a big pop of air out of the TPV and now my trailer service line leaks when pressing the brake. Any idea of why this would have happened and no the lines aren’t crossed????
