Here is a company that starts out supporting the Agriculture Industry in the Sacramento Valley. From Anhydrous Ammonia, Liquid and Dry Fertilizers to harvesting Tomatoes and Nuts. This little company is trying to grow moving into refrigerated trailers and food grade tankers and dump trucks.
So how can a company like this grow in today's economy? Easy they barley pay the drivers a decent wage, they do not pay drivers for standby time and they have a tyrant of a dispatcher who has no respect for the drivers. But it does not start there, you have to step back and go to the top and meet double "O" Bob Button. Here is a man that has anger issues, He will never say thank you, and will tell the people in the office" you need to quit being nice to these stupid G#% D@#& drivers!" He will quickly hire some driver with no experience at sub minimum wages simply to profit and pad his own greedy wallet . Here is an example of what you will get with Button Transportation.
February 08, 1995 The truck driver who died in a fiery crash on a busy Oakland freeway interchange on Sunday was identified yesterday as a 23-year- old man from Bakersfield.
Alejandro Ray Givens, a six- month employee of Button Transportation Inc., died about 9 a.m. when he lost control of his 1989 Peterbilt tank truck laden with 9,000 gallons of liquefied petroleum gas. Authorities said the preliminary cause of the accident appeared to be speeding.
"He was a good kid, a very sincere individual," said Cesar Ramos, 33, a Button dispatcher in Bakersfield, where Givens' truck was based. "It's a real shame that something like this happened."
Yeah it is a shame to have a young man with very little experience driving a loaded bomb. Why does he feel like he has to drive so fast? He understands that he only gets paid for driving that Propane truck from point A to point B so let's run the numbers its 273 miles from Bakersfield to Oakland the driver is being paid .32 cent per mile that totals a whopping $87.36 before taxes. Let's say a driver can do that in 5.25 hours that equals $16.64 per hour not bad for a young driver. But in heavy traffic your lucky to average 30 mph that changes what a driver can earn that 273 miles now takes over 6.5 hours now the driver is earning $13.44 per hour, an instant pay cut! On top of getting to the dock and getting loaded Poor Mr. Givens is not compensated for his time loading time or his unloading time. So the only way a driver carrying Hazardous materials can make any good money is to speed down the road.
But here is the rub, Bob Button has his trucks insured. Bob can go out the next day and buy a brand new Peterbilt truck and hire a new young kid and put him in the truck. And poor Mr. Givens, well his family is still morning the loss of his life.

Mr Braveheart, No company is perfect for sure but to say that Bob Button rips his people shows me that you don't know the man. You were most likely one of the know it all people that came And worked for us and have moved on. Propane paid 14.40 an hour back at the time of that sad crash. We were paid by the hour sir so there was no incentive to speed as you state. As a matter if fact most hourly drivers do 55 to make more money. You can always tell hourly drivers. If you drive and pay attention as you drive you would see this. Bob Button has been my boss for 20 years and for you to post up company mishaps is wrong. They happen everywhere. The man would give you the shirt off of his back if you asked him. We are growing and going somewhere. Thankfully without guys like you. We have a great team that I'm proud to be a part of. There are many more like me. Good Luck

Bob Button AKA Bluegoose, it sure took you a long time to try to refute this, like 3 years. It's very obvious who Bluegoose is, his 1st post on this forum

And my name is Bob but not Button.Have worked 20 years for Bob Button. Have I seen him get passed off? Yes I Have. Usually when someone makes a stupid mistake and costs him thousands of dollars. I've seen guys cost the company thousands and still keep their job. Sound like an #########? Two sides to every story brother.
