Bobtailing can be pretty dangerous in winter conditions. The chains will help but you're still about 2 seconds away from the truck turning into an 18,000 lb hockey puck if you hit a greasy patch coming down a hill. Throw it in neutral and use the brakes if it starts to go sideways on you.

holy smokes what wrong with you guys dont you know the best way to bob tail is pitch her sideways on the ice and snow and drift like the fast and furious and Chant Out Loud. "Chains??? We dont need no stinking Chains"...While your kicking up a Rooster tail of Snow and Slush Behind ya....lol Oh and yeah the Teddy bear was a great comment...
