I bobtailed from Lemars,Iowa to Grand Junction Colorado in a day cab in the winter and snowing at the time.I ask my boss if I should have chains and he said you don't chain unless you have a trailer.I was plenty scared driving thru the mountains but did fine.

CDOT only requires chains.....On your outer drives.....No "Drag" chains like Cali, OR, and WA, require....
Btw....If you're running OD/OS loads.....You know you have shut it down when it snows anyway.......
