I am repowering a motorhome with a Cummins ISM. I bought the whole truck and tore it down. The motor has 400,000 kms on an inframe, and the oil sample came back clean, although with some fuel in the oil. I will rectify that, but I am wondering if there is any reason to pull the head to have a look, or can I just borescope it for the same result. I am not familiar with these engines and it does have an oil leak which I think is the front cover or the top of the motor. The truck was a good runner and had no smoke or blowby at all. But I would hate to do all this work and wish I had replaced the head gasket. Thanks
